Ok, shoot me. I ain't blogged in a bit. I think Angel has made me blog whether it's shitzer or not. But as I have suspected for some time I am the only one that reads this blog and everyone else that leaves comments on the site are all extension of my inner psyche that needs to vent various aspects of my personality. I've been thinking about adding a forum onto the site for all my personalities to get together and chat about shtuff. Not sure if it's worth the effort though. eh.

*Ding koo koo*, I think my left eye is beginning to twitch!

RinconWhat has my boring arse been doing? I got that new bike I had been talking about. How hot is it...! Well it's hot enough anyway. I gave it a ride to my sisters place on the weekend and was going great for the first 4 minutes. As I was coming over the first hill and getting a handle on the gearing system (i'm only used the gearless 80's style bmx) I saw a Police speed trap that was picking off drivers as they came over the hill. Naturally, I shit my self and started to slow down. Seconds later, I realised how stupid I am and continued to pick up the pace.

The cop then pointed the speed gun in my direction and again for about 0.8 seconds, I shit my pants. After my second wave of panic I wanted to see how fast I could clock on this spankin' new bike. Conquering the last hill wore me out and I began to realise how unfit I had become but I gave it all I could.

After all of my extra effort I was told by the cop that I was travelling at a measley 24 Kph. I continued on my 15 minute journey to my sisters place and about three quaters of the way through I was stuffed. By the time I got to my sisters I was beginning to pale around the edges. I collapsed in her floor for a good 30 minutes and ended up getting a lift (with the bike) back home.

I feel ashamed. But I will continue to ride this bike just in spite of the people who thought it wasn't a good idea. It seems I faired better on the bike than the blades, still, more practice is in order I think.

Bored? Why not have sex with your friends.
"that boredom became a trigger to start hanging out with their friends and doing things with their friends, including having sex with their friends"

Shock horror! It seems that teenagers are having sex... holy fuck.. and here I am worried about Weapons of Mass Destruction.. Shit!

You'd think that it's a crime worse than murder. I seriously don't understand why sex has such a negative stigma attached to it when it involves teenagers. What the hell else are you going to do with those raging hormones.. make paper maché elephants... hell no, you want to have sex!

Another thing, what the fuck is Paedophilia. Dictionary.com spells it as "pedofile" and defines it as "an adult who is sexually attracted to children". So at what age are you no longer a child and what age are you an adult. Seems to me to be a fuzzy line at best.

The media has continued to fuzz this line even more so that if you look at a teenage girl and you have facial hair you must be a Paedophilia. I've raise this topic after reading this article about how The Who's guitarist Pete Townshend got busted for being into child porno. I'm not sure what to think of this He may have been into teenagers but they are frequently dumped into the "child pornography" pile. I'm sick of the media using these stories to fuel ratings instead of dealing with the thousands of other serious issues that plague this world.

A user comment to this article:
Arresting 1,500 people for looking at child-porn? What a bunch of shit.

Molesting children should be treated the same as rape -- life in prison or even death as the consequence. Why? Because it is essentially raping a child.

Looking at a child porn hardly constitutes any crime against that child. Manufactoring child pornography by paying child molestors for pictures, or paying them to molest children while pictures are taken, is a different matter, which should be treated like child-molestment.

Sorry, but I don't buy for a second that most of these 1,300 people who were arrested are dangerous to children or anything else. There is a big difference between (say) fantasizing about something (which images may assist, and ultimately prevent from becoming an actuality) and actually doing it. Fantasizing about having sex with children is harmless. Actually molesting children is harmful.

It's amazing to me how some people can not understand the difference between thinking about something (or fantasizing about it) and actually doing it.

Just a note. I never have and never will believe in the death penalty. I see it as a way of sweeping problems under the carpet instead of dealing with them at a fundamental level. I may expand on this in a future blog.

Here's another comment that I found relevant:
There's far too much focus here on the symptoms, and not nearly enough on the cause. People wanking to 12-year-old girls? Well maybe that's because 12-year-old girls are running around dressed in clothing that would make Christina Aguilara blush.

Also, something that hasn't been said: We in North America are far, far too paranoid and bass-ackwards in how we raise our children to regard sex. Our televisions tell us it's the best thing in the world, while our parents tell us to never, ever do it. WTF? Our national attitude towards sex is more harmful than the paedophiles, because that's what continues to encourage them!

So condemn them, sure. Punish them, sure. But never, ever act surprised.
