Atomised
'Never could abide feminsists.......' continued Christiane when they were halfway up the hill. ' Stupid bitches always going on about the washing up and the division of labour; they could never shut up about the washing up. Oh sometimes they'd talk about cooking or vacuuming, but their favourite topic was the washing up. In a few short years, they managed to turn every man they knew into an impotent, whinging neurotic. Once they'd done that it was always the same story - they started going on about how there were no real men any more. They usually ended up ditching their boyfriends for a quick fuck with some macho idiot. I've always been struck by the wau intelligent women go for bastards, brutes and arseholes. Anyway, they fuck their way through a couple of bastards, maybe more if they're really pretty, and wind up with a kid. Then they're off making jam and collecting recipe cards from 'Marie Claire'. It's always the same story, Ive seen it a dozen times.'
Michel Houellebecq winner of the international IMPAC Dublin Literary award 2002
Ive probably blogged about it before but the clarity in this observation was alarming.

My shower really sucks. The water pressure is constantly going up and down for the duration of my visit. Sometimes it feels like some type of archaic water torture.. HOT... COLD.... Perrrrfect.... COLD... HOT.... COLD.... Perfect... COLD! I swear by the end of my shower i'd be willing to confess my deepest darkest secrets to anyone who'd happen to be near me.. "ARGGGRG OK OK I LIKE TO EAT TOE JAM"... eewww... that's not actually true but you get my drift.
Speaking of showers, i'm sick of never knowing what foods are ok to eat. They either have too much sugar, contain too much fat or may incite some rare genetic illness that can leave you in convulsions of pain on the floor. In light of my predicament I propose a new standard for rating labels on all food products.
Snorky's proposal for Food Rating Labels
Level 1: Fit for excessive consumption.
Level 2: Fit for daily consumption.
Level 3: Fit for weekly consumption
Level 4: Only consume once a month
Level 5: This isn't very good for you. You should have an apple instead.
Now that I think about it, this could work for more than just food. Perhaps you could also use it for tv shows or newspapers & magazines.
While we're on the subject of food labelling, lets talks about perverts. What the hell is a pervert?
Pervert
n : a person whose behavior deviates from what is acceptable especially in sexual behavior [syn: deviant, deviate, degenerate] v 1: corrupt morally [syn: corrupt, demoralize, debauch, debase, profane, vitiate, deprave, misdirect] 2: change the meaning of [syn: twist, twist around, convolute, sophisticate] 3: change the inherent purpose or function of something [syn: misuse, abuse]
Seems to me that quite a large cross-section of the earths population could fit into this category. Depending on your religion you'd have to call all others "corrupt morally". In a progressive world, would a pervert not be seen as somebody exploring the frontiers of human experience and developement, or are they all destined to be homosexuals and pedofiles? I think people need to think about what they think more. You dig.
Before I go I have to tell you that i've just recently discovered a rather common drink by the name of lemon, lime & bitters. I can't believe that i'd ever had it before. It's great. I never tried it before because I thought it was either a girls drink or for gay guys. Turns out anyone is allowed to drink it with no stigma attached but your own. Everyone should go order one today!
Places to go:
Pi-search
This is mainly for the maths freaks out there. You ever wondered where in Pi your name is. Well now you can find out. Pi is a facinating number that basically says that there is no such thing as a perfect circle or sphere as all matter is composed of atoms which in-turn create lumpiness. This is seen in the fact that Pi can never be calculated to a repeating end. Pi has been calculated to 4 billion binary digits. So what does this mean. It means you have a good chance of finding your name embeded somewhere in Pi (Mine was found at binary index = 2975918048).

An open letter to the world
This is a letter I recived which didnt make too much sense but the points it tries to make do make sense.
"To all whom it may concern,
Being English born with a background of Greek and Middle Eastern it is easy to understand the tension that exists between the USA and
Sudam Hussein, bearing this in mind one must not lose focus on achieving what is the main goal, that of peace, unity and DISARMAMENT.
Australia has long enjoyed the luxury of peace and remaining exempt from the problems of the middle east, now it seems tragically that we
are embarking on a war that despite no matter how many billions of dollars are thrown to the powers we have be they defense, surveillance or
whatever, the end result is an obscene amount of money that could have been as any wise man would so put it "spent more wisely".
History will show in time to come how decisions were made, lives lost and leaders come and gone, in an effort to peacefully resolve the
problems that confront both the threat of terrorism and the elimination of it.
Somewhere I believe there will be someone wise enough to stand up and gain the respect of all parties concerned who will speak with such
authority that no one could deny.
Surely this is an important key element worth pursuing so that a solution is achieved rather than two presidents who behave like 10 year olds
willing to take the whole crew down just as the Captain of the Titanic did?
Now it is not in the best interests of the USA to act and bully as it has done in the past to get results: e.g. Sept 11, which clearly shows that
America is riddled with corruption and deceit the very fabric it accuses Sudam Hussein, Bin Laden and whoever else they put on their list of.
Any true leader who leads by example would be deeply concerned of issues that were affecting the good of their country and its people, this
itself may well be enough for the opposing party to understand there is room to negotiate, improve and agree on a peaceful settlement."
Another point. Snorky often spoke to me about the powerlessness of the individual in a world dictated by corporations, the media, powerful people and political regimes. He expressed to me the very common feelings towards protesters who often only seem to draw negative attention to their causes. A case in point may be the 'human shield group' who propose to stand on the front as the first line of defense on the Iraqi border armed only with 'human shield' t-shirts. These are the ones that tie themselves to tress and bulldozers and I cant comprehend the kind of sacrafice they wish to endure. They will soon have shirts that read 'I got shot by American and Iraqi troops and all I got was this lousy T-shirt'.
Now Snorky protests. Like the millions of the world that did. They werent the usual tree hugging crap (peace out to ya) but Joe average and Mrs Average. The world is speaking in volumes weve never heard before. The Thai population is in sync with the English populations. The American with the Russian. It is an amazing call against arms. And I am only filled with pride at this unprecedented level of international (and united) activism.
It is disheartening to know that Russian and French anti war sentiment is fuelled by goverments that have illegal oil deals with Hussein while the US and English attack where they have imposed trade sanctions harming their economic potential. But all that doesnt matter. It matters that millions of people dont want people to die over some political bullshit.
All praise snorky and all the snorkism that unites agaisnt the bloodshed.
Peace.

War
Today I went to the war protest. I didn't have a banner nor did I have chant. I did however, have a camera. I've set up a page here for you to check out what is it was like. It began at Sydney's Hyde Park and moved in a cirlce around the central business district.
I was supprised by the turn up. The estimates were between 250,000 and 500,000 people. Not a bad effort at all, considering our small population (Approx. 19million). There was about 10 million protesting worldwide I'm kind of finding it scary that our Prime Minister has openly admitted that he has stopped listening to the people. Isn't that kind of like a dictatorship?
Maybe New Zealand should send troops into Australia and over throw our leader and then install a more reasonable person. What do I know anyway! I only know what i'm told or what I can read.
What else has been happening... I started using an instant messanger again. Angel made me do it. He forced me to do it and told me if I didn't that i'd be a "poo poo head". Well I can't have that now can I! The Instant Messanger of choice is AIM, you can get me here. I'm not on all the time and you'll have to take Australian time into account if you're trying to catch me. Otherwise just email me.
I'm tired and have to go now... :)
For Orazzio: If only a popped hamy felt like a full swing kick in the nuts, maybe, just maybe you'd give it time to heal!!
